From their introduction, Mesa amplifiers have been used by working professionals. The Mesa Express 5 50 provides Mesa tone at either 5 or 50 watts. This example is in head form, and a 2x12 cabinet is available with it.
This Mesa Express 5 50 amplifier and 2x12 Mesa cabinet are in excellent working order, and aside from a slight grillecloth tear on the cabinet, in very good physical condition. The cabinet is loaded with a pair of 12 inch, 30 watt Celestion Vintage 30 speakers.
The amplifier itself uses 6L6 tubes and is equipped with reverb. The footswitch is included. One of the great features of this amp is that it can be switched down to 5 watts, making it much more versatile for smaller rooms. Often, it's easy to scale up for larger rooms, but scaling down for a small room while maintaining tone is not so simple!
