Tasked by Ampeg with improving their ‘Grammer’ guitars, the late Dan Armstrong produced a number of innovative designs using non-traditional materials. Perhaps the best remembered are the Plexiglass models; this is a fairly rare fretless version of his bass. it’s in good original condition and plays well.
MORE →The Gibson ES-175 is one of the classic working jazz archtops. Many players have sustained their careers with this instrument. This example from 2007 is in excellent condition and features nicely curled maple top, back and sides. A really classy guitar that would fit in anywhere.

As with all PRS production, there’s a high level of attention to detail, the contours are very comfortable, and overall the instrument rings and just really works well.
