This 2005 Taylor 312ce Left Handed Steel String Acoustic guitar is in great condition. The Sapele back and sides share a lot of tonal characteristics with mahogany, and have a strong visual similarity as well.

Here’s a very nice 2011 Kentucky KM505 A-Style mandolin. The A-Style, along with the F-Style — both introduced by Orville Gibson in the early part of the 20th century — have become the most commonly used mandolin body designs, shifting the instrument almost completely away from the traditional European bowl-back concept.
MORE →Here’s a very nice 2007 PRS SC 245 Gold Top Singlecut Solidbody. The single-cutaway solidbody design has certainly proven itself over the last sixty years. Paul Reed Smith’s take on the idea features mahogany back and maple cap, set neck construction, but has a slightly elongated body that’s really quite attractive.

MORE →Here is a very clean 2011 Martin 000-18. The 000-18 is a fairly plain, straightforward, extremely competent guitar and has been produced by Martin since 1921 (except for 1932 and 1933).
A little brighter than rosewood models, the smaller body size adds to comfort and a more balanced tone, without the potential for ‘boominess’ often found with dreadnought guitars.
