Here is an F-5 that has all of the features to suggest a 1949 model and only the label indicates 1951. Regardless if it is 49 or a 51 this sure is one special mandolin.

MORE →It’s that time of year again! Taylor Guitars has released their 2010 Fall Limited guitars, and they are a seriously beautiful bunch. The star of this fall’s show is Taylor’s new fingerboard inlays. Fine lines are laser etched on to the inlay pieced, creating some fantastic looking detail patterns. I had the opportunity to see these inlay pieces as they were under development during my visit to the Taylor factory this summer. I’ll post another link to the article covering the factory tour at the bottom of this page. For now, let’s take a closer look at each of the new Fall Limiteds!
