Carlos Santana has had a long relationship with Paul Reed Smith guitars, to the point where there are a number of PRS Santana models. In 2008, the PRS Santana MD was released – the MD standing for ‘multi dimensional’. The key difference is in the wiring – there’s an extra switch that enables the ‘Multidimensional Voice Control’ circuit, allowing a range of new tones.
