This Martin D-18 from 1952 has sure seen some heavy wear and tear but boy does this guitar have some tone!! The cracks have been sealed, the neck reset so it is in great playing condition. All of that lush warm midrange and sweet treble combines for a irresistible sound! Comes with a period hardshell case.

The new Performing Artist line from Martin Guitars has made a real splash into their already comprehensive line up of guitars. These instruments feature all the quality and good looks you come to expect from Martin with a few new twists aimed at the gigging musician. The Performing Artist neck profile has a little less mass and a flatter shape than Martins standard low profile neck. This super smooth feel will appeal to fans of smaller neck profiles and help ease hand fatigue for those long sets. The neck joins the body at the 14th fret and the venetian style cutaway provides excellent access to the upper frets. The on board Fishman F1 Aura pickup system has everything a performer could want including a built in tuner all in a two button and small screen package which helps retain the sleek aesthetic appeal of these guitars. I have ordered many Custom Shop guitars from Martin over the years. I shouldn’t be surprised when one of their guitars arrives overflowing with so much tone and vibe it basically jumps out of the case begging to be played! That is certainly the case with the new CS-21 model we just received. This model features a stunning set of Madagascar rosewood on the sides and back and an Adirondack spruce top. Madagascar rosewood is also used for the bridge, headstock overlay and fretboard. The visual package is capped off with highly flamed koa binding, a three ring fine herringbone rosette, old style silver headplate decal and Waverly tuners.
