Gibson introduced the Explorer in 1958, but it wasn’t exactly an unqualified success and was discontinued in 1959. Over time, guitarists came to appreciate its radical lines and the fact that it just sounds great and plays well.

MORE →Here is an all original A-1 mandolin from the early 40’s. It features a spruce top and mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard and a beautiful sunburst finish in great condition for its age. There is a crack under the pickguard which is not moving and some very slight pickguard deterioration near the bridge. Comes with original cardboard case in 6/10 condition.
