This is fun – a 1996 Charvel Surfcaster 12! First introduced in 1991, this take on the electric 12 string guitar uses a chambered mahogan body with a maple cap, and a bolted-on maple neck.

The Stratocaster has been an extremely popular guitar since its introduction in 1954, and has since never gone out of production. This is a pretty rare, 1959 Martin 00-18E steel string acoustic.
The 00-18E was built from 1959 to 1964, in response to the quest for volume, and this is one of the first. It uses the 00 style body, with the 18 construction – spruce top, mahogany back and sides – but the top is thicker and uses heavier bracing.

Here’s a very nice 2007 PRS SC 245 Gold Top Singlecut Solidbody. The single-cutaway solidbody design has certainly proven itself over the last sixty years. Paul Reed Smith’s take on the idea features mahogany back and maple cap, set neck construction, but has a slightly elongated body that’s really quite attractive.
