Comments	The Peavey EVH Wolfgang Standard was built from 1996 to 2002 in Leakesville, Mississippi (and then to late 2004 in Meridian, Mississippi), though in fact, Peavey did not use the term ‘Standard’ with reference to these models.The proper name for these guitars is simply ‘Peavey EVH Wolfgang’; however the lower-priced ‘Special’ model, described elsewhere, adds that term to the name. ‘Deluxe’ models were built in the Peavey Custom Shop. After using an instantly identifiable, and globally copied, heavily modified Fender Stratocaster, Eddie Van Halen developed endorsement and production associations with Charvel, Kramer, and then Ernie Ball Music Man. In 1995, Van Halen started to work with Peavey and after a year of development, the Peavey EVH Wolfgang was released. These guitars feature a basswood body with a maple cap, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, a short headstock and of course, a Floyd Rose locking trem system. Additionally, they have the patented EVH D-Tuna installed on the low E; this brilliantly simple part lets you shift the tuning a set amount by simply pulling or releasing the D-Tuna. Drop to D and back to E in less than a second!

Neck	Maple neck with unbound rosewood fingerboard, dot position markers
Frets	Medium Jumbo frets with minor wear on the white guitar, more noticeable wear (but still highly playable) on the sunburst.
Body	Maple cap on basswood body. Flame maple on the sunburst, likely plainer on the white guitar.
Finish	Gloss finish in very good condition; minor play wear.
Hardware/electronics	Chrome hardware; ‘zebra coil’ humbucking pickups with pickup selector, master volume and tone controls; schaller tuners; Floyd Rose locking trem system with EVH D-Tuna system installed and set for Drop-D. The sunburst model also has chrome Dunlop strap-locks installed.
Playability/Action	These instruments play very well.
