Neck	Mahogany neck with grained ivoroid bound ebony fingerboard. Custom inlays exclusive to the Gerry Tolman Tribute model; wooden ship, stars, winged heart, Neil Young broken arrow, oval. Mother of pearl CF Martin and CSN logos on ebony headstock overlay.
Frets	20 standard frets, about 10% wear.
Body	Indian rosewood back and sides with englemann spruce top. Herringbone binding on top, abalone inlay at soundhole. Gerry Tolman image and label has pre-printed signatures of Crosby, Stills and Nash, individually numbered. This example is 299.
Finish	Clear lacquer. The top has a vintage tinted gloss, the neck is satined.
Hardware/electronics	Open Gotoh-built Martin branded tuners with butterbean knobs. Ebony stauffer-style pyramid bridge, bone nut and saddle. Tortoise pickguard.
Playability/Action	Action is presently at 5 – 7/64″ (2 – 2.7mm) with the same amount of saddle above the bridge.
Case	Original Martin molded case.
Comments	Gerry Tolman was CSN’s manager, both as a group and for their solo careers. He died in 2005 following an auto accident. This instrument is based on the D-28, with a number of custom appointments. It’s got a really great sound and feel.
