“Building instruments combines a lot of my interests: design, engineering, fabrication, and last but not least, playing and listening to music.” As is the case with so many luthiers, Joseph Yanuziello found an outlet for his widely varied skills in the fabrication of musical instruments. His eye for clean lines, pleasing colour combinations as well as his long experience working with pro musicians, have combined in this line of electric mandolin-family instruments.
The Yanuziello electric mandolin, mandola, and mandocello are designed as performance instruments for the player who wants volume on stage without feedback. Mandolin family instruments all feature hollow ultra light bodies and custom Lindy Fralin pickups.
As opposed to the 4 string configuration that most electric mandolins utilize, the eight string set up gives these instruments a sound that is much more like their acoustic counterparts!
