Guild X-160 B, 1994 (consignment) SOLD

Comments Here’s an excellent condition Guild X-160 B from 1994. The X-160 is a hollow-body archtop made using maple and with a single venetian (rounded) cutaway, and the B stands for ‘Blonde’.Guild was formed in 1952 by a former Epiphone executive, George Mann, and focused on archtop jazz guitars – these had been Epiphone’s main product. Later, the range expanded to include flat-top acoustics and electric guitars and basses.

Guild has built many truly great guitars over the years, but despite a well-deserved reputation for quality and durability, never achieved the prominence that larger companies like Gibson, Fender or Martin.

This particular piece is a really wonderful gitar. It looks very good, has a solid clear tone with plenty of definition between notes, and is bright but not brittle.
