Frets | This guitar has been refretted with medium frets, and there is only slight wear on them. The fingerboard was planed at the time (a regular part of a refret) and it plays well all the way up the neck. |
Body | Maple laminate 17″ body, 2″ depth, with rear access panel. The body is hollow, with tone bars and soundpost, painted F-holes and a rear access panel under the snap-on pad. |
Finish | Original lacquer finish, walnut stain, in good condition. |
Hardware/electronics | All original hardware except for the mute foam. Gold hardware including V-cut Bigsby B6G, Grover tuners with large buttons, pickup covers and rocking bar bridge. |

Comments | Gretsch introduced the G6122 thinline version of their very successful 6120 in 1957. In 1962, the body received the second cutaway. It was used by many prominent guitarists, including, of course, George Harrison.This instrument was built at the beginning of the “Baldwin Era”, with the distinctive aluminum knobs the most visible sign of the change of ownership. It’s in very good condition, with no binding issues, and plays really well. |
