Description:… This Gibson J-50 from 1959 definitely seems like it may have a few stories from the road.
It has seen a lot of wear and tear and has been refinished and over sprayed on the top along with a replaced bridge and pickguard. The setup is low but plays well and that warm and sweet thump comes out nice and loud.
Neck:… Mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, 1 11/16″ nut width, 24 3/4″ scale length, C neck profile.
Frets:… Low and have been dressed.
Body:… Slope shouldered dreadnought, Sitka spruce top, Mahogany sides and back, top is dished slightly and has some scratches and gouges, new bridge added.
Finish:… Refinished and over sprayed on the top, lots of checking, scratches and dents.
Hardware/electronics:… Gibson Deluxe strip tuners, new pickguard added.
Playability/Action:… Good playability with current action at 4/64″ bass and treble side with 5/64″ saddle protruding.
Case:… Newer Gibson hardshell case.
