Serial Number	A 32795, built 1960 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Pricing	$8889.00 CAD with period brown hardshell case. SOLD
Neck	Mahogany neck with bound rosewood fingerboard, parallelogram position markers. Mother of Pearl Gibson logo on black headplate; headplate has some chipping and touchups.
Frets	Narrow frets, probably refretted long ago; frets have some wear in the lower positions.
Body	Maple laminate body in excellent condition.
Finish	Original cherry sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish in very good condition.
Hardware/electronics	Original electronics including PAF pickups. Original ABR bridge. Tailpiece has been replaced with a chrome version, and the tuners (with plastic keystone buttons) have been replaced with reproductions. The originals are in the case and the buttons are deteriorating.
Playability/Action	Plays very well!
Case	Brown hardshell period case included.
Comments	This is a fantastic example of a 1960 ES-175 D. Gibson began production of the ES-175 in 1949 as a mid-price, laminate alternative to the L-5. In 1953, the D model was introduced, featuring two pickups, and in 1957, the new PAF humbucking pickups started appearing on production models. The 175 has been used by many artists, from jazz to rock and back again. This guitar is very clean, plays very well, and sounds great.
