David Wren Concert Sinker Redwood and Macassar 2012 (Used)

Comments	Here’s a Concert style guitar from David Wren, built during 2012, and featuring a ‘Sinker’ redwood top and Macassar ebony back and sides.This guitar is in very good condition, with a french polish finish. French polish is a very light, hand-applied lacquerfinish and impedes vibration about the least amount of any finish. It does not provide the ‘wet look’ glossiness of a sprayed polyester or heavy lacquer finish. Many independent builders are moving to this type of finish for a number of reasons including that instruments sound better, and there is a significant reduction in exposure to solvents. David Wren builds outstanding instruments in Toronto, Ontario, and this is a wonderful example of his work.

Neck	Mahogany neck with ebony-bound ebony fingerboard, Wren inlay at 5th fret, some wear marks on the back of the neck.
Frets	21 frets with no appreciable wear.
Body	Concert sized bound body with sound port on upper bass side and arm-rest. Spruce bracing and solid linings. ‘Sinker’ Redwood top with Macassar ebony back and sides. Ebony bridge with bone saddle. Spalted maple rosette and red purfling.
Finish	French polish (hand-applied lacquer) with some wear marks.
Hardware/electronics	Gotoh 510 gears with ebony buttons, K & K ‘Trinity’ pickup system.
Playability/Action	This instrument plays very well as is and we will of course set it up for to the player’s requirements.
Case	Hoffee carbon fiber case included.
