2004 Avalon Legacy A10c Cutaway Jumbo SOLD

Comments Built in Newtonwards, Northern Ireland during 2004, this is an Avalon Legacy A10c Cutaway Jumbo. Avalon Guitars is a successor to Lowden, and the name is used because contractual issues with the design of Lowden guitars restricted the ability of the staff luthiers to make improvements or introduce new models. So, in 2000, the Avalon Guitars company was formed in a split from Lowden. Georege Lowden continues to build Lowden guitars.

The Avalon Legacy A10c is a cutaway jumbo guitar resembling earlier Lowden guitars but with an Auditorium body (hence the A designation). The body dimensions are 406mm across at the lower bout, 252mm at the waist, and 300mm at the upper bout by the neck. Overall, the body with heel is 525mm and its depth is 120mm.

It features a cedar top with mahogany back and sides and a mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard. Tonally, it’s well balanced with good volume. Physically, it is in good condition with a few small dings.
