Comments | Dana Bourgeois builds some of the finest acoustic guitars available today. As is the case for many of a certain age, his interest in guitars was sparked by specific 1964 episodes of the Ed Sullivan show – the ones that introduced The Beatles to the United States. And as was the case for many guitar builders and repairmen, the primary text was Irving Sloan’s Classic Guitar Construction (I think I still have my copy).
He’s had shops since the mid 1970’s and is considered an expert on voicing steel string guitars- adjusting the design and bracing to produce optimal tone. Click Here to read the Dana Bourgeois article, “Voicing the Steel String Guitar” This 2012 Bourgeous OM Signature is in near-new condition. It’s been played so tonally it is opening up, but it’s also been extremely well cared for. |
