Comments | Gibson has built the Les Paul model since 1952. This 2011 Cherryburst Gibson Les Paul 50s Tribute has all the basic, early Les Paul features – maple cap on a mahogany back, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, and P-90s. It’s also in near-mint condition. Overall this is an excellent instrument.
While the Tribute models are Les Pauls in far more than name, Gibson makes them less expensive by reducing things like decoration – there’s no binding on the top – and the amount of finish. One result of this is that the finish tends to wear quickly on the edges an arm hangs over. |
