Comments | Ernie Ball introduced the Music Man Axis Super Sport at the Winter NAMM show in 1999 as a variant of the popular Axis; it added a number of features, such as the use of a 5-way switch for coil tapping and more bridge options (the Axis offered only a Floyd Rose, and the Super Sport can have a vintage or stop tailpiece bridge), and an optional piezo bridge pickup on right-handed models.
This 2009 Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Super Sport 25th Anniversary is in very clean condition with very little wear. These instruments play very well, and the combination of the maple cap on basswood balances the tone and makes the guitar quite light. |
