Comments | This is a 2002 Anthony Karol Parlor Guitar, built in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
Anthony Karol has been building in the Mississauga area (this is just west of Toronto, Canada) since at least 1999. He tends to build custom instruments in a wide variety of models and body styles, from classical to steel string to solid-body electric. The parlor guitar design lends itself to smaller rooms (hence the name!) and is a comfortably small size. On this instrument, the walnut gives a warm depth and balances nicely with the spruce top. The organically geometrical figuring of the walnut back also goes very well with the bearclaw figuring on the spruce top. |
