Comments | Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs were two of the most recognisable names in the bluegrass pantheon, and were arguably responsible for its rise to mainstream popularity. Earl Scruggs played a Gibson RB-Granada banjo for many years.
Gibson banjos are legendary but now are very hard to find; while Gibson was an overwhelming force in the banjo universe for decades, the rise of rock music pushed banjos further and further down the production priority list. In 2010, the huge flood in Nashville damaged much of the Gibson banjo and mandolin facility and has for the moment ended their production of banjos. This 2000 Gibson Earl Scruggs Standard Mastertone Banjo in great condition, and ciomes with a flat-top hardshell Gibson case. |
