Comments | C. F. Martin introduced the M-38 during 1976, and have moved back and forth calling the body style ‘M’ or ‘0000’, as it’s similar to but a bit bigger than the 000 models.
Well known as very well suited for fingerstyle, the M-38 delivers excellent projection and dynamics. The tone is rich and full, clear and direct, but not extremely complex. There’s a bit more bass than in the 000-size models. This 1977 Martin M-38 is from the second year of production. It’s in good shape with a few pick strumming marks on the top , but otherwise shows no major dings or dents. It plays well and really sounds good. |
