1972 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top (consignment) SOLD

The original Les Paul design disappeared in 1961, and reappeared in 1968. Almost immediately, new versions started appearing, with the Gibson Les Paul Deluxe making its debut that year. It featured the orginal style metallic gold top finish, P-90 type pickup cavities, but with ‘New Yorker’ style mini-humbuckers in modified P-90 covers.

The Deluxe was never as popular as the Standard or Custom and in 1985 the model was discontinued, but was reissued in 2005.

This 1972 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top is in good playing condition with lots of vintage vibe. The gold has checked nicely and faded to a slight greenish tint. Correct for the period, it has a 3-piece neck and a 4-piece body.

Serial Number:674708, built during 1972 at the Gibson plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan. ,

Pricing:$2,999.99 with original Gibson hardshell case. SOLD
