1969 Robert Ruck classical guitar (consignment) SOLD

Comments We seldom see things like this 1969 Robert Ruck classical guitar; this is partly because Robert Ruck doesn’t build much anymore, and his guitars are so well regarded that they seldom change hands.

Built using traditional construction methods, this excellent guitar uses a Spruce top, Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, and a mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard. It was recently serviced in our shop and the staff raved about its tone. The original label was damaged, and the case includes a new label, signed, dated and numbered by Robert Ruck.

Robert Ruck came to be an extremely influential luthier, with the quality of his instruments drawing the attention of many other builders. Rick hasn’t accepted new orders for some time now, so it is very unusual to see any of his instruments passing through a shop.

Serial Number 1969, 13, built by Robert Ruck at his shop, then located in Miami, Florida, USA.
