Comments	The Telecaster is not only the first succesful (wildly!) solidbody electric guitar, but it’s also been in uninterrupted production the longest. There have been some variations over the years, and this 1969 Fender Telecaster with Bigsby is a prime example. The Bigsby unit itself is the oldest successful vibrato unit made, and as we can see here it’s been available in a branded form to manufacturers. This unit has the ‘F’ logo on the body casting. To go with this, the body does not have the string ferrules on the back; there is a custom pickup plate and a Jazzmaster-style bridge is used. This one even has the original bridge cover! This instrument has definitely been used as intended, but not abused. There’s lots of play wear on the neck, and the body finish is nicely yellowed. It’s a beautiful piece.
Serial Number	235114, built during 1969 at the Fender plant in in Fullerton, California.

Neck	Maple neck with applied maple fingerboard (like the rosewood-capped necks) and no ‘skunk stripe’.
Frets	Original frets with lots of wear.
Body	Alder body in the stock Bigsby configuration – meaning that it lacks the string ferrules on the back.
Finish	Blonde finish with expected play wear and yellowing. Clear finish on neck with lots of wear on the fingerboard – this guitar has been played.
Hardware/electronics	All original – Fender branded tuners, white cord wrap on the bridge pickup, Fender F-logo Bigsby and even the original bridge cover is included!
Playability/Action	Plays well, despite the fret wear, and the Bigsby is lots of fun!
