| Comments | Relatively rare, this 1963 Fender Bass VI is in good visual, working and playing condition.Introduced in 1961 and built till 1975, Leo Fender intended the Fender VI to be both a bass and a baritone guitar. But it was never the roaring success that the Precision Bass, the Telecaster or the Stratocaster were, and only about 800 of the original design were made. However, some of those 800 appear in influential music of the time, including the Lovin’ Spooful albums, The Beatles White Album, Let It Be and Abbey Road.This 1963 example seems complete and original, with some wear and tear. It plays well and would be a great sonic addition to many recordings. |

| Neck | Maple neck with arched rosewood fingerboard, clay position markers. 30 inch scale length and 7.25 inch fingerboard radius. The Fender VI decal is in good shape with slight chipping. |
| Frets | Original frets with some wear, but the fingerboard is quite clean and ungrooved. |
| Body | Offset, Jaguar style body made of Alder. |
| Finish | Original three-tone sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish. This guitar has been used, so there is some wear and chipping but it is in decent condition. |
| Hardware/electronics | All orginal hardware, with the Fender mute and trem bar included. Kluson Deluxe tuners with oversize split shafts. In many ways, the hardware is much like the Jaguar – three single coil pickups with slider selector switches, master volume and tone controls. and the button-lockable trem tailpiece. |
