Comments	The Gibson L-4 was built between 1912 and 1956, and underwent a number of changes. Originally it had – like many archtops of the time – an oval soundhole; this changed to a round soundhole in 1928, and finally to the now-common F-holes in 1935. This 1927 Gibson L-4 is in good playing condition, and overall decent mostly original shape. It plays well and sounds good, and looks great!

Neck	Mahogany neck with bound ebony fingerboard. Mother of pearl dot position markers, The Gibson peghead logo.
Frets	Narrow frets with some wear.
Body	16 inch wide non-cutaway fully hollow body with oval soundhole, checker and diamond rosette. Carved Spruce top, carved Maple back, maple sides. Top and back binding. Ebony adjustable bridge. The top cracked and was repaired, long ago.
Finish	Original nitrocellulose lacquer sunburst finish in decent condition.
Hardware/electronics	Original hardware; Grover banjo tuners with creme plastic buttons, nickel plated trapeze tailpiece, faux tortoise pickguard (notched, probably for a pickup) with bracket.
Playability/Action	Presently strung with light strings, and plays nicely.
Case	Original case included.
