S/N: V06549, Neck date is to June 2012, 2nd digit of day is a 0., Built at the Fender plant in Corona, California.
The Telecaster Thinline originally appeared in 1968, with some of the design work done by Roger Rossmeisl, the German luthier who was responsible for many classic Rickenbacker designs. Using the traditional Telecaster shape, the body is heavily routed for chambers, with a center block and one F-hole. This makes for a resonant, snappy guitar with very light weight.

The Telecaster Thinline has had a number of variations, and in 1972 it received a pair of Fender's new Wide-Range Humbuckers. It also received Fender's other advancements of the time, the Bullet truss rod adjuster at the head and the 3-bolt Micro-Tilt neck adjustment. The pearlescent pickguard was retained.

This American Vintage example is in near perfect condition, with the original factory plastic on the pickguard and pickups. As an American Vintage model it has a V serial number, and it can't be dated strictly from the serial. However, the neck date is June (_0) 2012, with the first digit of the day obscured by a sharpie'd F.

This isn't an exact clone of the 1972 model - those had a heavy poly finish, and these particular models have a very nicely done lacquer finish. There are some other versions of this model, made in Japan or Mexico, that do carry the Poly finish.

This guitar has the factory setup, and the rectangular G&G hardshell case is also in original condition with the original case candy and accessories still in sealed plastic bags.
