The Gibson R9 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue is based closely on existing 1959 models, with a lot of attention given to construction techniques and glues, carefully reproduced PAF-style custom pickups, and aniline-dye tinted nitrocellulose lacquer finishes strongly evoking the original colour schemes.
This 2010 Gibson R9 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue is in really good condition, and comes with the original case and Certificate of Authenticity. It's got only very minor wear. These instruments come with the hardware slightly 'antiqued' - they're not beaten up as a 'relic' would be, but instead the tints are faded and the nickel hardware has some natural tarnish.
