S/N: 30328011, built during 2008 at the Gibson plant in Nashville, Tennessee.
Like the A style, the Gibson F9 design traces its history back to 1902. These instruments introduced an entirely new American mandolin, very different from the bowl-back european designs. The F style body features a distinctive carved scroll body and matching headstock.
This Gibson F9 was built during 2008 and features a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, a Sitka Spruce top and a satin 'antique' sunburst. It's in overall very good condition with light wear all around. The original Gibson hardshell case, likely by TKL, is included; it has a couple of stickers from local bluegrass festivals.
