Hofner has been one of the leading European builders of archtop guitars for many years, and the Hofner Chancellor sits at the top of their line.
Built in 2007, this blonde Hofner Chancellor features a hand carved solid spruce top, hand carved solid flame maple back, solid flame maple sides and neck, and ebony for the fingerboard, bridge, pickguard, headplate and tailpiece. The scale length is 25 1/4 inches or 643mm, and the nut width is 44mm. A gold-plated Hofner pickup is mounted on the neck, with controls on the pickguard and an output jack on the lower treble bout. Tuners are gold plated Schaller models with ebony buttons, and gold Schaller Strap-Locks are installed.
This guitar is in overall very good condition, though there is one small, repairable crack in the top close to the bass side of the fingerboard. Tje original hardshell case is included.
