The Martin M-36 is based on the very successful Martin M, or 0000 size body. This body size is larger than any of the single to triple 0 size bodies, yet smaller than a dreadnought; consequently it is fairly loud with great projection, and has a very evenly represented tone and is very comfortable to play. It's ideal for solo performers but fits well into ensembles and extremely well into recording situations.
Built with a solid Sitka Spruce top and Indian rosewood for the back, sides, fingerboard, bridge and headplate, and ebony for the bound fingerboard. The scale length is 25.4 inches with a 1 11/16 inch nut width, and there are 14 frets clear of the body. The nut and saddle are bone.
This 2006 Martin M-36 is in rather good condition with only slight play wear.
