S/N: N/A, built during 1988 at Felipe No.2, Madrid.
Walking tours of Madrid have many attractions, including dozens of independent guitar shops where highly experienced builders work in plain view. The Conde Hermanos shop is one of these.
Built by Felipe Conde at the Felipe V No.2 workshop in Madrid, Spain during 1988, this Conde Hermanos flamenco blanca guitar is a wonderful piece.
Using a spruce top, cypress back and sides, spanish cedar neck with ebony fingerboard and Brazilian rosewood headplate, this guitar has been used as intended and sounds like it - that is to say open, vibrant and responsive.
The finish is a thin orange varnish, and it's in good condition though it has a few dings and dents as will happen to a performing instrument.
This is a concert instrument, with a 660mm scale length and 52mm nut width. The action height is set for Flamenco use, at 8.5/64ths inch bass to 6/64ths inch treble.
A black hardshell Euro style case is included.
Visit the Felipe Conde website to learn more about the Conde Hermanos FC26 flamenco blanca guitar - the modern equivalent of this model.
