S/N: 82530649, dates to September 9th, 1980 at the Gibson Nashville plant.
The Gibson Les Paul Standard has seen many variations, and between 1969 and 1976, it wasn't a regular Gibson catalog item at all.
Here we see a Gibson Les Paul Standard example from 1980, bearing a natural finish and built in Gibson's Nashville plant. It is in good, original playing condition and has recently had a fret dress. As with all Les Paul Standards, the body is built with a maple top and mahogany back and sides. Typical of this period, the neck is 3-piece maple with a small volute behind the truss rod adjuster cavity.
There are some dents around the edge of the body, particularly towards the bottom edge. There is typical jean rivet wear on the back but the finish on the top and neck are in good shape.
A black hardshell case is included.
