S/N: S909928, built aroiund 1979 at the Fender plant in Fullerton, California.
The Fender Stratocaster Hardtail was available from the Strat's introduction in 1954, but was never as popular as the Syncronized Vibrato version.
Built around 1979, this blonde Fender Stratocaster Hardtail has been used as intended, and the honest wear to the finish shows this very nicely; there's no real way to duplicate this look, despite attempts at 'relic-ing'. Fretwear is moderate, the guitar plays pretty cleanly as is, and the tone is clean and crisp with the extra snap of the hardtail (as compared to the built-in resonance of the trem bridge springs). The neck and middle pickups have been replaced with DiMarzio models, while the bridge pickup is original. A PRS gig bag is included.
