S/N: 804272, built during 1966 at the Gibson Kalamazoo plant.
The Gibson J-45 is an iconic American guitar, used by countless thousands of players on countless thousands of songs, and seems to pair very well with a voice.
Built at the historic plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan, this Gibson J-45 dates to 1966 and has been used as intended. It has a crack repair on the back, and the top has seem some heavy and enthusiastic strumming. Grover Roto-Matic tuners have been added, the bridge and bridge plate have been replaced and there is moderate wear on a refret.
The neck profile is typical of the mid-1960's, with a fairly narrow taper and slim carve, fitting easily in the hand. It plays well, and has that characteristic warm Gibson tone.
A black Japanese hardshell case is included.
