S/N: 847104, built during 1966 at the Gibson plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
The Gibson ES-335 was a groundbreaking instrument when it was introduced in 1958 and brought together the tonal character of archtop guitars and the feedback resistance modern stages needed.
This Gibson ES-335 dates to 1966, and is in largely original condition, with the notable exception of a gold Bigsby B7 tailpiece replacing the original trapeze. The pickups and tuners are original, and the pot codes date them to 1966. The original nitrocellulose lacquer finish is in good condition, with some wear hear and there; there is a bit of chipping and natural lacquer checking. A period Gibson hardshell case is included.
