Comments | Today we are featuring a great looking concert guitar from Ottawa builder Gerry Gruber. This guitar has immediate visual impact with its slightly figured Sitka spruce top and the lovely rosewood armrest. The body is framed by maple binding and the rosewood rosette adds a subtle earthy tone. The side port provides the player with a type of monitoring and it also helps with tone production by increasing the rapid air movement and allowing the top to vibrate more freely. The overall tone of this guitar is balanced with a solid note fundamental and crisp shimmering top end. The smaller body shape and armrest provides a playing experience so comfortable you won’t want to put it down!! |
