Comments | In recent years, musical instrument makers have been experimenting seriously with ‘non-traditional’ woods and materials, largely due to conservation efforts and import restrictions. In this instrument, Martin uses cherry and European spruce for the body, with mahogany for the neck and Richlite for the fingerboard and bridge. All the woods and related materials used in this guitar are Forest Stewardship Council certified. But make no mistake, this is a Martin and it sounds and plays like one. It’s got the full, even warmth of tone you’d expect and is overall a very nice instrument. |
