Serial Number	114002, built during 1950 in Nazareth, PA
Pricing	$8750.00 CAD with newer hardshell case.
Neck	Mahogany neck with unbound ebony fingerboard; rosewood headplate with script C F Martin decal.
Frets	Frets are in good playing condition with minimal wear; it was refretted some time ago.
Body	Rosewood back and sides with sitka spruce top; bound top and back. Lots of play wear on the top, some wear on the back and sides.
Finish	Nitrocellose lacquer finish, largely original.
Hardware/electronics	Original tuners, possibly replaced bridge. At one time this guitar was converted to left-handed, but there’s not much pick wear from that. Bone nut and saddle. The bridge plate has also been replaced; the original plates on these guitar was quite small and most have worn out by now.
Playability/Action	This guitar has been refretted and had a neck reset, so it plays close to Martin factory specs. There’s lots of room to move the saddle around for action adjustments.
Case	Newer hardshell case included.
Comments	This is a great-playing – and great-sounding! – D-28 from 1950. It’s had the maintenance that guitars of a certain age really need to have – a neck reset and a refret – so it’s ready for years of use. It has a full, warm, rich tone with lots of clarity and separation.
