Comments | The Gibson J-50 was introduced in 1945 as a variant of the successful J-45. The primary difference was the finish on the top! The J-50 has a natural finish and the J-45 is sunburst.
This is a 1950 J-50 model in great playing condition. It’s had some repairs over its life, primarily to the back with crack repairs, rebracing and a high-quality refinishing. It’s got that wonderfully characteristic Gibson sound, warm and full with enough projection to make its voice heard. Overall, this is an attractive instrument that’s very nice to play. |
