Comments | The Gold Tone Bob Carlin Signature Series BC-350 Plus Banjo is a work of art; an upgraded version in triple plated gold hardware and historic Orpheum style vintage inlay.
As with the standard BC-350 model the Plus version uses a 12″ pot assembly, scooped ebony fingerboard, Bob Carlin neck profile and a nut width of 1-3/8”. All Bob Carlin banjos use a rolled brass tone ring fitted to a maple rim with classic dowel stick. Bob Carlin is most well known in the banjo world for his incredible tone. The historical style 12” head enhances mid-range and bass for a fatter, more mellow, old-time banjo tone compared to regular 11” banjo head. Interestingly, when Bob Carlin recently visited Toronto for concerts and workshops, he needed a banjo. We supplied him with this banjo in the photos for his concert…adding considerably to the mojo of this particular banjo !! |
