Mandolins have always been a favorite form of expression for Kim Breedlove, both as an experienced builder and as a player. When developing the Breedlove mandolin line a decade ago, Kim sought to produce designs that were completely unique, but also instant classics.
Breedlove mandolins not only sound great, but are also very easy to play. Details like radiused fingerboards and generous string spacing make them a very comfortable instrument. Design features such as low-profile neck and tail blocks and a floating bridge extension ensure maximum resonance and tonal response.
Breedlove mandolins are available in three basic body shapes (O, K and F), and each shape is available with two bracing/voicing styles (f-hole/tone-bar and oval hole/x-brace).
Finished to a high gloss to magnify the rich figure of the wood grains, the Breedlove Oregon model’s teardrop shape and F-Holes continue in the tradition of fine American mandolins with an ageless appeal. With premier appointments of black binding, nickel Scaller tuners, a Loar replica bridge and Monteleone style tailpiece, this mandolin is protected by a deluxe arch top hardshell case!
