Now discontinued, the Taylor GS8E Natural uses the non-cutaway Grand Symphony body and pairs a Sitka Spruce top with Indian Rosewood for the sides, back and head plate. The neck and body blocks are Mahogany, with Ebony for the bridge and bound fingerboard. The top also sports an Abalone rosette ring.
As most Taylors do, GS8E features the ES pickup and pre-amp system as factory installed, with controls placed near the bass side of the heel and the output jack and battery box are at the tail block.
This Taylor GS8E Natural dates to April 03 2007 and was built at the Taylor plant in El Cajon, California. It is in good clean condition with only light play wear, and some light finish checking near the neck joint. As it’s a post-1999 model, the neck uses the NT (New Technology) joint which allows the inevitable (for steel string guitars) neck reset to be done in about an hour at a very reasonable cost compared to standard Dovetail joints.
The original Taylor branded hard shell case is included.
