The Taylor 914ce is a guitar truly in the upper echelon of their rosewood models. It features the well balanced Swiss army knife Grand Auditorium body shape with a venetian cutaway and the classic tone wood pairing of Sitka spruce and Indian rosewood. The 900 series of guitars are decked out with all of the finest appointments including the popular Cindy Inlay on the fretboard, abalone peghead and bridge inlays and top trim. This guitar also features Taylor’s patented relief rout which is a groove carved along the inside edges of the top similar in function to the re-curve on a violin. It provides extra flexibility with sacrificing structural integrity. Paired with the CV X bracing, which includes subtle contouring differences in the scalloping, the resulting tone is fuller and fatter but still well balanced with more volume.
