The Taylor 812ce is a cutaway version of the Grand Concert body design, and the 800 series has recently been revoiced to improve midrange warmth, bolder trebles, and increased dynamic range and volume (even without the pickups!).
Featuring a Sitka Spruce top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, the Taylor 812ce is perfect for fingerstyle and its even, balanced tone fits easily into recordings. The example shown here is number 38 of the first 50 made at the Taylor shop in El Cajon, California.
The Taylor 812ce has a mahogany neck with maple-bound ebony fingerboard and mother of pearl ‘element’ inlays on the fingerboard and Taylor logo on the headstock. Maple-bound ebony overlay on the headstock. It’s electrics have gold plated Taylor-branded tuners, Tusq ™ nut and micarta saddle, Taylor Expression System II pickup system with a rosewood pickguard and Abalone ring rosette.
Taylor guitars typically play very well. The neck profiles are quite comfortable and the body-neck joint is designed to be easily worked on when the time comes, as it eventually will, for a neck reset. Taylor Grand Concert body with Venetian cutaway. Sitka Spruce top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, maple binding. The top bracing follows Taylor’s Advanced Performance design with relief route. Ebony bridge.
Brown Hardshell, archtop Taylor case included.
