The Suhr Modern T Pro delivers a solid evolutionary step in T-style guitars, with 24 stainless steel frets, locking tuners and a Gotoh 510 trem bridge. The Modern T Pro uses African Okume (Aucoumea klaineana) for the body and neck and a flamed, bookmatched maple cap. The fingerboard is Indian Rosewood.

This Suhr Modern T Pro dates to October 03 2016 and was built at Lake Elsinore, California and sports an Aged Cherry Burst finish over the Flame Maple top and Natural Satin finish elsewhere. The binding is ‘scraped’, which effectively means that any finish colour coats on the edges of the Maple cap are scraped off, and clear coats applied; in reality, it is un-bound. “Scraped binding allows for the natural maple to be seen along the edge of the top wood. This painstaking and detailed process accentuates the beauty of the body shape and adds elegance to the design.”

This guitar is in very good, clean condition with very light wear. Like all Suhr guitars we see, it’s very well built with a good stock setup, plays well and sounds great.

“The release of the Modern T Pro marks the debut of an entirely new model for Suhr. Designed in conjunction with Andy Wood, the Modern T combines the 24 fret neck and sculpted heel joint of our Modern with the body shape of our Classic T, improving player comfort at the upper frets while preserving a more traditional design aesthetic.

Equipped with our Modern Elliptical neck profile, rolled fingerboard edges and a 10″-14″ compound fingerboard radius. The African Okoume neck is finished in satin acrylic urethane, which provides the smooth feel of natural wood as well as protection from moisture.

The Modern T Satin utilizes African Okoume for both the body and the neck along with a 3/16″ flame maple top, resulting in an extremely responsive instrument that reacts to the subtlest dynamics.”
