The Stonebridge G24SR, built at the Furch guitar shops at Velké Němčice in the Czech Republic, is based on a cutaway Grand Concert body design pairing Sitka Spruce and Indian Rosewood.
Frantisek Furch has been building guitars and other musical instruments for decades, and as opportunities opened up in the Czech Republic, moved to full time instrument building. The “Stonebridge” name refers to the Charles Bridge in Prague. Furch’s guitars are well regarded and played by many throughout Europe, and are moving into North America with the Stonebridge Guitars International distribution company based in Kitchener, Ontario Canada.
Here we’re looking at a Stonebridge G24SR, meaning a Grand Concert body with ’24’ level trim, Sitka Spruce top and Indian Rosewood for the sides and back. The neck is Mahogany, and Ebony is used for the fingerboard, bridge and head plate. A Schatten HFN Artist pickup is installed to the bridge plate.
This Stonebridge G24SR example is in good condition, with a little light finish scuffing; fret wear is light to moderate, primarily in the lower positions.
The original Stonebridge hard shell case is included.
