Here’s a real beauty – From April 2009 and in very good, all original condition, a Rickenbacker 360/12 in stunning FireGlo!
The Rickenbacker 360/12 is an iconic guitar, and attracted top-flight attention from its first release. In fact the second example, built in late 1963 was gifted to George Harrison in February 1964 by Francis C Hall, while the Beatles were in New York for their first US tour. The rest is history! That guitar appeared on many recordings, starting with the ‘Hard Day’s Night’ album. Harrison subsequently obtained a 1965 360/12, with a new, rounded body shape that’s been in use ever since.
This Rickenbacker 360/12 was built, like all other Rics, in Santa Ana California. It features the Roger Rossmeisl designed thinline body, a pair of modern High-Gain pickups, and Schaller mini tuners. Wear is extremely light, and the finish is in great shape – there does seem to be one very small finish chip at the top edge of the back of the headstock. Fretwear is light, and the guitar is well set up as is.
The original molded rectangular Rickenbacker case is included.
